Dagala Gewog covers an area of about 85 sq. km with altitude ranging from 2280 meters to 4,713 meters above sea level. The gewog has 41 households scattered all over the Dagala range. The people in the gewog derive their livelihood and income solely from yak herding. The population move from place to place herding yaks and though their relative income is high, the general quality of life is poor.Government attempt to resettle Dagala people in Chamgang has not been very successful and seasonal migrations with herds still continue. This poses considerable problems in delivering services to the people in the gewog.
